Membership in the Clan Moffat Society is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who are direct lineal descendants of a Scot bearing the surname Moffat or any of its spellings as listed below.

It doesn't matter how you spell it, we're still kin!

As members of the Clan Moffat moved out of Scotland to France, England, Germany, Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, South America and to other parts of the world, spelling of the name changed. Because Clan Moffat had never merged with other Clans (it remained a "closed" Clan), all persons of original Scottish descent with the surname Moffat, in any of its various spellings, are related. (But don't ask the Genealogist to prove that!!)

Current Membership rates are:

USD $24	Annual Membership in USA and rest of world except Canada (see below) NOTE: The 2008 AGM approved an increase in this fee to $24. This became effective on 1 October 2008. (See Note below on dates).
USD $12	Youth/Student Annual Membership (age 18-25)
CDN $24	Canadian Annual Membership
CDN $14	Canadian Youth/Student Annual Membership (age 18-25)
USD $350	LIFE MEMBERSHIP
USD $500	PATRON MEMBERSHIP

Note:

If you join the Clan Moffat Society before 1 October in a year, your membership is for that year. You will be sent copies of the Moffatana that have been published during that year up to your joining date, as well as the rest of the issues published during that year. Your membership will expire at the end of that year.

If you join the Clan Moffat Society on or after 1 October in a year, your membership is for the rest of that year, AND all of the following year. You will recieve all copies of the Moffatana published after you join, but won't be sent any back issues.
